ウタ・フリス、フランチェスカ・ハッペ達によって、
遂に自閉症が「自閉症スペクトル」として定義付けられた。
この功績はWHOでも認められ、診断基準も認知された。
現在医学上の「自閉症」と言う診断を貰えるのも、ウイング達の理論が認知されたことによる。
その基本はこうだ。
１．自閉症スペクトルは三つ組の障害を持っている。
２．三つの障害のうち一つでも欠けると自閉症では無い。
その他の障害になる。
３．三つ組の障害とは以下の通り。
３－１．社会的相互交渉 の障害
３－２．コミュニケーション の障害
３－３．想像力 の障害
この全部の障害が揃っていると言う事が最も重要。
